Forest Theater BIM Lidar Scanning

The Forest Theater has been a staple in the South Dallas neighborhood it has called home since 1949, and Halff was proud to be part of renovation efforts for this scan-to-BIM project. A mecca for arts and music, it hosted artists such as Tina Turner, Prince, and BB King. Halff’s Geospatial team collected terrestrial lidar data in the field and processed the data in-house, providing 3D models for the engineers handling the renovations. The terrestrial lidar data can also be used as a historical record of the theater, due to the detailed point cloud data.
